The Optio W30 is a basic point and shoot camera that is also waterproof and dustproof. The front and back metal body makes Optio quite sturdy. It is easy to use and incorporates varied number of features. The lens extension is internal and the capture speed is good. The lens apart from optical zoom also uses the refractive lens function. Since, there is no lens cover that comes bundled with the purchase, it needs to be bought additionally along with the plastic cover for protecting the LCD screen. The LCD screen does have an anti reflective coating that is essentially useful for outdoor shooting.
