Casio Exilim Z1050

The Casio Exilim Z1050 is a stylish, slim and compact digital camera. It packs great looks with the scratch resistant and lightweight aluminum outer frame combined with various color schemes like black and pink in matt finish to choose from. The picture quality is fine tuned by the motion analysis technology that it incorporates in image processing. It reduces a lot of blur and shakiness from the pictures and delivers crisp and sharp images by setting the most appropriate ISO sensitivity and shutter speed.

There is also a quick burst mode for taking pictures in quick succession (Maximum seven-shot-per-second high-speed continuous shooting). The movie mode Movie is also supported with the electronic camera shake compensation function. The LCD screen is wide and brightly lit but performs averagely under direct sunlight. The images turn out nice outdoors but are relatively poor in low light. The battery life is superb and lasts very long.

There is also the “Auto Tracking AF” function that closely follows moving subjects, keeping them continuously in focus until the photo is taken resulting in clear and sharp images. The control panel displays the shooting information on the right side of the monitor and enables direct camera control and editing while in shooting mode and easy playback and simultaneous editing. The camera is easy to use and changing the most used settings is relatively fast. Since, the Exilim Z1050 does not have the viewfinder mode of focusing it is solely dependant of the LCD screen mode that consumes more power, but also makes it lightweight to carry. The camera works well for distant shooting but the image quality deteriorates in the semi macro and macro mode. The Casio Exilim Ex-Z1050 is good value for money proposition considering the image quality and the rapid shot feature but not well suited for advanced photo shooters.
