The Kodak Easy Share SV811 is a digital photo frame that lets the users see pictures and movies on its crisp and clear 8-inch LCD screen. It is powered with the On-frame viewing and editing features allowing for easy viewing and editing of pictures and movies coupled with the built-in speakers that can play and let users enjoy the MP3 music. The images can be immediately viewed by connecting with the memory card or the digital camera. There is an easy to use and handy drag and drop mode that makes the transferring of pictures easy. The 16:9 Easy share wide screen features the Kodak Color Science for vibrant colors and crisp detail that is also coupled with the Kodak Light Management Film to provide a bright, clear display with excellent viewing angle.
The frame can be easily set on a tabletop or on a wall, vertically or horizontally. The web based easy share feature allows the pictures to be uploaded to the Internet and downloaded from there. However, this process leads to deteriorating of colors, resolution and shrinking of image size. Some of these pictures are not clearly displayed on the MAC computers. The My Slide show mode is enabled as a screen saver that may be difficult for some to set properly. The update to the online gallery cannot be done with the frame on. It doesn’t permit it and also does not recognize the online connectivity. The Kodak Easy share SV811 is heavily dependent on its remote, which performs most of its functions. Since, the remote is very small it stands a better chance of getting lost and leaving users fumbling with the display controls. Overall, the Easyshare SV811 is an average product from Kodak with its image quality and customer service that offers immense scope for improvement.
