The Canon digital rebel Xti 10.1 is a unique combination of performance, quality and ease of operation. The camera is lightweight with a sturdy design and the controls are extremely simple to manipulate. The interface is user friendly and most of the camera functions can be changed real fast. Besides, there is a well-placed On/Off switch. The lag time is reduced considerably and even at high ISO range the noise distortion is very low. The rear LCD screen is large with elongated battery life. Its double image stabilization feature almost nullifies the blurred image problem. The exclusive sensor cleaning system offers the self-cleaning sensor feature that is well integrated with the camera. The Canon’s picture style settings enabled users with greater control over the color, clarity, sharpness and brightness of images. The resolution is greatly improved over its predecessors and it serves excellent image quality at an affordable price for an SLR. The flash exposure lock and white balance adjustment in viewfinder’s status bar are newer additions. There are dedicated buttons for program shift, drive mode, exposure lock, exposure compensation and focus point selection etc. The Xti 10.1 allows the user to view the histogram display in various modes like monochrome, RGB, or brightness. It is also coupled with the new long-exposure noise reduction options and offers various improvements in the Auto Rotate function.

However, there may be a little flash underexposure sometimes during shoot. The auto focus feature is less accurate and slow to gear up. There is no super wide-angle adjustment for photo shoot. The viewfinder is relatively small for manual focus but the auto focus is excellent.  The memory buffer requires a lot of cleaning time when full.

The Canon Digital rebel Xti 10.1 is an entry level SLR camera. Though, it cannot match the performance of professional cameras but lives way beyond its expectations for committed photographers.
