The Canon Power shot Tx-1 is a great replacement for point and shoot camera. It is especially a toy of joy for photographers who are die-hard movie fans too. It is cheaper than its peers in the camcorder category, has a great stainless steel metal body that makes it scratch resistant. The TX-1 is fairly compact with inbuilt lens cover and and tough new scratch-resistant, anti-reflective coating on the LCD screen. The LCD screen is foldable but there is no optical viewfinder in this camera making it fairly lightweight and small. The Power Shot TX1 automatically pinpoints the faces in the scene during shoot and chooses the ideal focus point automatically while controlling the exposure and flash. The images have great contrast and color saturation. The focus is fast and quick and the playback mode allows viewing videos and images together in the slideshow option.
The TX 1 is equally good at recording movies, controlling various exposure and light settings, apart from image stabilization, face detection and red eye correction. The audio quality with videos is equally impressive as the sound is recorded in stereo coupled with the HD clarity during playback. The zoom works extremely well in movie mode also at high ISO settings where there is little noise. The TX-1 sometimes doesn’t produce quality images in low light conditions that are at par with its indoor and outdoor shots. The high data transfer rate along with the direct print share button lets the users manage the pictures easily and print them with ease. The Power Shot TX-1 is a must have for self-proclaimed photographers who have little to do with the photography and more with the compliments they get.
It is a sit back and relax photography experience.
