The Garmin Nuvi 670 uses the same Bluetooth technology that is famous in other Nuvi models. Pair it with your Bluetooth compatible cell phone, and you have hands free calling from your GPS device.
Another great feature, besides the obvious small size and practically weightless design, is the unbelievably fast load time. It’s practically ready to go straight out of the box. Just pull it out and plug it in, and you get a screen saying that it’s already loading the maps. Within seconds, the Nuvi 670 has all the information loaded, and you’re ready to go. Satellite connection speed and reliability is great. You can even pick up inside a building. No need to wait for a clear sky, as with other models, the 670 can pick up a signal practically anywhere.
It also has a larger screen than some of the other Nuvi models. At 4.3 inches and 480 by 272 pixels, this one is as easy to see as it is to use. And the ease of use is what makes it really great.
The option to avoid dirt roads is great for keeping off the unbeaten path. Just set it to avoid, and you don’t have to worry about where you’ll end up. It’s reliable in it’s navigation, and gets you there by the quickest and most efficient route. You’ll get directions in 2D or 3D maps, and even voice directions for turn by turn.

There are points of interest such as hotels, restaurants, etc., and you can load custom points of interest such as school zones and safety cameras. There is even an option to load proximity alerts to warn you of upcoming traffic stops, etc.
Some flaws are present, such as searches for some points of interest never show a return. But these are minor gliches. All in all the Nuvi 670 is reliable and accurate.
You can power it up with the lithium ion rechargeable battery that hold up to 7 hours of charging. And its so slim that you can mount it right on your windshield with no worries of view obstruction.
Users of the Nuvi 670, overall, are satisfied. Aside from the few minor glitches, such as the searched for points of interest not loading, and it sometimes shows a complete different route from point A to point B, than it does from point B to point A. However, with the features included in the device, and the slim design, as well as the load time of merely seconds, the Nuvi 670 is definitely in the running.
