Garmin Nuvi 350 Review
The Garmin Nuvi 350 is a great GPS device with an “out of the box” simplicity design.
It is ultra slim and can be carried in your shirt pocket, making it great for business trips, vacations, even use in rental cars. You could also use it for walking around cities or vacation spots, because of it compact and practically weightless design. And its ease of use makes it convenient for even the newest of GPS owners.
It operates on a rechargeable lithium ion battery that holds up to 8 hours of life after charging. Great for longer trips. The cord for car recharging connects to the mount and not the unit itself, so it’s great for taking with you when you go. No need to worry over hanging cords, once taken off the mount, the device is completely cordless.
It comes preloaded with City Navigator NT street maps with a points of interest database that includes hotels, restaurants, fuel, everything you need when on the go. A minor setback would be the lack of update on some stores and restaurants that may be out of business. This is a minor glitch, however, and may not pose a problem, depending on where you use it.
For navigation, you simply touch the color screen, which has an anti-glare feature for sunlight, and you get directions in 2D or 3D maps and turn by turn voice instructions. It will even tell you the names of exits and streets, so you don’t have to spend extra time looking for them.
It includes an MP3 player and Audio Book player, which may require a subscription to Audible.com. The MP3 player can be great for long trips. It also features a JPEG picture viewer, currency converter, and calculator, among many extras. Comes with an anti-theft feature also, and car shaped icons that you can select to show your location on the map.
You’ll get great satellite connection reception, even indoors. And the Nuvi 350 hits right on the mark for destination directions. There’s no simpler way for you to get from point A to point B. It has excellent load times, and if you happen to veer off your path, it’s re-navigation is within seconds.
It’s a slim, compact, and highly reliable device for any trip, be it business or pleasure. Overall, the Garmin Nuvi 350 is as dependable as it is convenient.

Navigate With Ease
nüvi 350 comes ready to go right out of the box with preloaded City Navigator® NT street maps, including a hefty points of interest (POIs) database with hotels, restaurants, fuel, ATMs and more. Simply touch the color screen to enter a destination, and nüvi takes you there with 2D or 3D maps and turn-by-turn voice directions. It even announces the name of exits and streets so you never have to take your eyes off the road. In addition, nüvi 350 accepts custom points of interest (POIs), such as school zones and safety cameras and lets you set proximity alerts to warn you of upcoming POIs. The European version even includes a preloaded safety camera database containing the location of safety cameras for parts of Europe.
Add Traffic Alerts
Avoid traffic jams with the addition of an optional FM TMC traffic receiver and traffic services. By adding these to your nüvi, you are notified of accidents or road construction ahead on your route. Simply touch the screen to view traffic details or recalculate your route to avoid traffic.

Like the rest of the nüvi series, nüvi 350 sports a sleek, slim design and fits comfortably in your pocket or purse. Its rechargeable lithium-ion battery makes it convenient for navigation by car or foot.
Go Beyond Navigation
Navigation is just the beginning. nüvi 350 includes many “must have” entertainment and travel tools including MP3 player, audio book player (subscription to Audible.com required), JPEG picture viewer, world travel clock with time zones, currency converter, measurement converter, calculator and more. It also comes with Garmin Lock™, an anti-theft feature, and configurable vehicle icons that let you select car-shaped graphics to show your location on the map.
